Frequently asked questions

The basics

How do you find these cheap flights?+

Every few hours we scan the cheapest fares that millions of travellers found from each city, store the full price history and compare every new fare with the usual price on that route. When a fare drops well below normal, it shows up here.

What does “−40% vs usual” mean?+

The usual price is the median of the cheapest daily fare on that route over the last 60 days. A −40% badge means this fare is 40% below that median — a genuine drop, not a made-up “was” price.

Do I book on CheapFlightsFrom?+

No. We find the deal and send you to a trusted booking site to complete your purchase. Prices can change quickly, so check the final price before you pay.

What is an error fare?+

A fare 60% or more below the usual price — often a pricing mistake by an airline or agency. They are usually fixed within hours, so book fast and wait a few days before making non-refundable plans.

Is CheapFlightsFrom free?+

Yes. We earn a small commission from booking partners when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you.

Deals & prices

Why is the price different when I click through?+

Our prices are fares that travellers found in the last few hours or days. Airlines change prices constantly, so the fare may have gone up, down or sold out by the time you click. Always check the final price on the booking site.

Do prices include taxes and bags?+

Prices include the base fare and standard taxes shown by the provider, but usually not checked bags, seat selection or payment fees. Check the booking site for the full breakdown.

Are prices one way or round trip?+

Each fare is labelled “one way” or “round trip”. Prices are per person, in US dollars.

How often are deals updated?+

We scan fares from every origin city automatically several times a day, and pages refresh within minutes of each scan.

Booking

Who do I contact about my booking?+

The site where you booked (the airline or travel agency). We don't sell tickets, so we can't change, cancel or refund bookings — but we're happy to point you to the right contact.

Is it safe to book through your links?+

We only link to established booking providers available through reputable affiliate networks. Your payment happens directly on their secure site — we never see your card details.

What happens if an error fare gets cancelled?+

Airlines sometimes cancel mistake fares and refund the ticket. That's why we recommend waiting a few days for confirmation before booking non-refundable hotels or plans.

Alerts & privacy

How do deal alerts work?+

Choose your departure city and, optionally, a maximum price. We email you when a fare from that city drops well below its usual price. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

What do you do with my email?+

We use it only to send the alerts you asked for. We never sell or rent it, and we don't use ad trackers. See our Privacy Policy for details and your rights under GDPR, CCPA and Israeli law.

How do I delete my data?+

Unsubscribe from any alert email, or send a privacy request through our contact page and we'll delete your data within 30 days.

Still have a question?

We read every message and usually reply within 1–2 business days.
